SHOES!

I got my wedding shoes!  I have planned for quite awhile to get bright, colorful shoes.  I really liked the idea of getting shoes to match the bridesmaid dress.  Well, after searching online and in several stores...I ended up with...silver!  I still think they're "fun" though. =0)
These pictures are from the ALDO website.

My wedding dress is diamond white so I think the silver goes well with it.  My veil has a border with just a hint of silver.  It'll be interesting trying to walk in sand with these!

Now I need to decide about hair & makeup...

Nate has to decide what he's going to wear!

Lil' Miss Smarty Pants

Well, well, well...I haven't kept up on the blog so far...but I figured there's no better day than today to pick it up.  Jayda is the one that brought me to post today...doesn't she look sweet here?  More about that below.

This morning I woke up, did the morning routine & got on the road. Approximately 20 minutes in to my trip I saw four cars in the ditch. It was so slippery & I had talked to a friend who said 694 both ways was stopped. I decided to call my boss & request to put in some hours from home. So, I did just that. I likely would have spent many hours in the car today had I attempted to drive in.

Tonight I went for my second fitting for my wedding dress! I still love the dress! I have to admit that I have looked online several times since buying it--just wondering if I really picked THE one. Of all the wedding dresses & I only get to wear one in my life--it's a big decision to pick this ONE! :) I do love it & I'm sure if I looked long enough & didn't have a budget limit I'd find many that I love.  It's THE one now because it's the one I bought! :) The wedding is 51 days away!  I'm so excited!  I hope it all goes great!

Okay, on to Lil' Miss Smarty Pants. Jayda has been sassy since I've known anything about her. I would talk to Karen on the phone & hear the cutest little sassy puppy in the background. I thought it was so adorable. Ha! Well, the joke is on me because now that she's over 1 1/2 years old she's still sassy & not so little!

Jayda has a habit of growling...mainly at me. She will growl & bark & throw a fit...pretty much daily. Nate says she's an angel until I get home. Ha! Of course I don't believe it for a second, but I know she's bad with me! Keep going in this post & you'll see some of the shots I got of her today. When I took these I was sitting on the couch with my laptop, trying to get some work done!

Can you hear it?  The growling...

And to show what a good guard dog she is...my Kitty JJ

A second of being sweet in all the madness!

Oh, the days of being home with Jayda.  The funny thing is...she's been snoozin' all night! I guess her normal schedule is to save it all up until I get home!  That's my girl...

The Wedding Dress!

On Friday I went wedding dress shopping for the second time. I found my dress!

My first time wedding dress shopping was nothing like the experience Friday! After the first day I found myself wondering if I would ever find the dress. I wondered if I would get that feeling that everyone seems to know about--where you try the dress on & just know.

Friday started out much like the other experiences. Dresses that were okay but nothing that stood out to me. After a handful of dresses I tried on one that I had brought in a picture of. This picture was the reason I decided against the favorite dress from the first shopping trip. They only had the dress in champagne that was a size too big for me. Since the wedding is in February I thought I would have to buy off the rack due to the shipping time. I didn't want a champagne dress but tried it on. The consultant working with us said she would call the designer to see if they had any in hanging stock. As I was holding the dress up, while the back was being done, I knew. I knew before it was really ON! It worked out that the designer had that dress, in white, in my size in hanging stock! The dress should be sent by Monday!

I love the dress! I feel like a bride! I can't wait for the wedding!

What an experience!

Step One

Step one: create a blog. There is no particular purpose to this blog. I plan to share a lot of photos of Stryker & Jayda. I'll also share the upcoming wedding of their people. Yes, I'm one of them. =0) I'll share whatever else comes up.

Step one: complete.
